Originally from the Eastern region of Côte d'Ivoire, Gervais ATTA has ascended to executive leadership in the banking and insurance sector. Born in 1974, he holds a degree from the École Supérieure de la Banque in Paris, an MBA from Paris Sorbonne, and an Executive MBA from the French Institute of Management (IFG). Dr. Gervais's trajectory continues with his pursuit of a DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration) at the prestigious Montblanc Business School.

Dr. Gervais Atta began his notable career as the CEO of AFG Bank of Madagascar. Then, since 2023, he officially holds the position of International Development Director at AFG ATLANTIC GROUP S.A. Bank - Indian Ocean, a leading financial institution operating in the Indian Ocean region. Under the auspices of the group's executive committee, he spearheads the coordination and supervision of group development projects, encompassing banking, insurance, microfinance, and industry sectors. Additionally, he oversees relationships with partners, consultants, regulatory bodies, administrative authorities, and political entities.

With over 20 years of professional experience across various sectors in Africa, including recent years in banking and insurance in the Indian Ocean region, Gervais is also a trailblazer in fintech-related development issues in the Indian Ocean.

Driven by a passion for continuous learning and research, Gervais ATTA is currently preparing a thesis in international economics at the Doctoral School of the Catholic University of Madagascar. He is also a member of two international research associations: the AIEL (International Association of French-Speaking Economists) and the ACFAS (Canadian-French Association for the Advancement of Science).

As a hands-on manager, his success stems from his management style, which places a strong emphasis on putting people at the heart of his strategy to foster collective intelligence for the advancement of the company and the communities in which he operates.
